Gloria
Grahame
1925-1981

| The movies gave us enough sex kittens and sultry sirens to stretch around the globe three or four times if laid end to end, but the movies gave us only one Gloria Grahame. After she was gone, the universe (never mind movies) was a radically different place. It's astonishing that there are movie fans who've never seen her films and who don't remember that voice and those incredible lips. It's even more astonishing to learn that Mount Rushmore hasn't been remodeled with her fabulous kisser taking the place of all those drab Presidents. |
