We think this dramatic shot of Cuba Gooding Jr. and James Marshall is quite simply one of the most interesting and suggestive film stills of the current millennium. In fact, this image is so utterly cinematic that it's almost a movie in and of itself. You could have fun just making up scenarios to flesh out what you see depicted here. I guess what we're really trying to say is that we've never actually seen Gladiator, the film this still represents, and since the thing is set in the world of boxing, it may be a little while before we get around to seeing it -- like maybe sometime toward the end of the next millennium. In the meantime, we really like this still and we were thrilled to add it to our James Marshall archive, which now consists of almost three photographs. Whatever happened to this guy anyway? Cuba Gooding Jr., of course, has become a major star and even got an Oscar for keeping the audience awake for most of Jerry Maguire. His "Show me the money!" is probably more famous than "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn," which is kind of depressing. As far as we know James Marshall isn't famous for any snappy catch-phrases -- come to think of it, we're not even sure he can speak.
