Ryan O'Neal

We offer a few images of one of the most talented and underrated actors of the past few decades.

Top: Portrait fromt he 1970s.
A bove left: a 1960s publicity still of Ryan from the Peyton Place era.
Above right: in 1984's Irreconcilable Differences.
Bottom: in 1998's Zero Effect.

Ryan just goes on and on. Sure he's made a stinko movie here and there, but he has never given a terrible performance in any of his movie and television roles. In his youth he was both soft-spoken and tough on screen, an interesting combination that might have been exploited during the studio system era. With any luck he could still evolve into one of the great character actors of our time. At any rate, we're still watching his every move.
