Tab Hunter       Tallulah Bankhead

When we first came across this photo we were absolutely certain that the guy on the left was Richard Thomas playing John-Boy Walton in one of the weirder episodes of The Waltons. But then we recognized the lady on the right as the legendary Tallulah Bankhead and we realized that no episode of The Waltons was ever quite this weird. So we did a little research and discovered that this is actually a scene from Tennessee Williams' The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, a play that Williams allegedly based somewhat on Miss Bankhead. After out-of-town tryouts, the show arrived in New York in early 1964 and closed after only five performances. Incidentally, in the play Tab Hunter played a character called "The Angel of Death." You see, he's this gigolo who preys on wealthy women. If any of this sounds at all familiar it may be because you are one of the three people in the universe who somehow managed to see Boom!, the 1968 film version -- which starred Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton!!!
